Throughout the school year we will be analyzing primary sources in order to better understand Civics. The class will investigate political cartoons, maps, photographs, posters, and written documents to gain a better understanding of our countries government.
Today we will take our first look at primary sources in an effort to take a step back in History so that we can better understand it. Analyzing primary sources is a skill that takes practice, but it is a skill that is necessary to have in order to be successful in this class. Lastly, being able to analyze moments in History through primary sources gives students (You) the ability to bring History to life.
Caution: Developing the skill of Analyzing Primary Sources may lead students to find History more interesting and enjoyable.
