Last week, we began talking about why we have laws and their purpose in our society. As we saw in some of our skits, the world would get pretty hectic without some. Today we are going to be investigating some specific types of laws: Civil Law, Criminal Law, Military Law and Constitutional Law. Think back to our bell ringer and some of the laws you thought up, can you predict what type of laws they would be?
Our task today is broken down into three-parts in what I would like to call a "Jig-Collage-Wall," you will understand more when we start our task.
Types of Law Practice Questions
Benchmark: SS.7.C.3.10 - Identify sources and types (civil, criminal, constitutional, military) of law.
Learning Goal: Students will understand the differences between civil, criminal, constitutional and military law.
Task I: Part II - Types of Law - PicCollage
WOW You guys are going absolutely fantastic! Now that you have become experts on your specific type of law, you are going to be working with your shoulder partner to create a PicCollage which describes your assigned type of laws (Civil Law, Criminal Law, Military Law or Constitutional Law). Working together you will be creating ONE PicCollage which includes the following items:
Now that you have completed your PicCollages I want to have them all in one place! Below you will find a couple of links to our classes different walls. FIND YOUR CLASS LINK, go to it and post your PicCollage to the wall. To upload your PicCollage, make sure it is saved to the iPad library. Open the link to your class wall and double click the screen. Click the upload arrow to upload your picture to the wall. After you upload your PicCollage, be sure to post your names and types of laws you were assigned in the picture posting box. Once finished, explore the your classmates walls and try to find the most awesome example you can.
